how to claim
1. Council tenants should contact Housing Direct. 2. Private tenants whose landlords refuse to act can complain to the council’s Residential Environmental Health Service. 3. Landlords can contact their energy supplier directly to see if you qualify for a free gas safety check. Else, find an engineer by contacting the Gas Safe Register on 0800 408 5500.
